I had a beautiful Easter with the roommate. We went to church and there was an Easter play which got me all teary eyed. Also there was a donkey AND horse present.... and if you did not know, I am highly allergic horses. I told my roommate not to touch it, or else. Unfortunately the sermon was a little longer than we expected and we had to duck out early during the personal testimonies in order to make our brunch... reserva... well we just were hungry, alright? I cried during the crucifixion, that should be enough. Also brunch was delicious.
First things second, I was at the all wonderful public library once again writing a paper on middle adulthood today... wooo... and I encountered a rather unusual experience. Long story short... a little girl peed her pants right in front of me. Then I had to alert her father of this unfortunate event. This is basically how it went down:
- Family shows up and son hops on computer while a definitely only 4 years-old daughter wants to play Chess. Chess? Okay, whatever, I can deal. Her father is trying to teach her.
- She then moves on to Monopoly and just arranges all the pieces and money and what not. I guess the father was off somewhere looking up books.
- Then she decides to move onto Trivial Pursuit... really? I go back to writing my paper trying to ignore the happenings around me when I look up and notice something strange...
- The little girl is wearing purple skort thing with tennis shoes and now her legs are wet, she is doing the dance around where her brother in on the computer and cannot see her. Also her father is now on the computer and cannot see her either.
- I quickly realize what is going on and that I am going to have to tell him because it is clearly obvious that she is not going to considering she is now backing down the aisles to hang her head in shame (I assume).
- I get up and tap her father on the shoulder "Um sir, I think your daughter had an accident"
- He looks at me in horror and then I realize he probably thinks she is hurt so I quickly blurt out "I mean she peed her pants! And she headed down that aisle." To which he replies "Oh! Got it, thanks!"
- That man jumps up and in a series of about 5 seconds, finds his daughter, puts all his books away, logs off the computer, gets his son, and is out he door. This was definitely not a drill.
Yeah, that is exactly what went down. The grossest part was the girl still had the Trivial Pursuit dice in her hand which she placed on the computer table after she had been grabbing at her wet skirt... Exactly why I do not touch anything and am a total germaphob.... some little girl's pee could be on anything.
Now I feel bad for knocking that lady on my first library experience who disinfected her whole area... I was wishing I carried a full container of Lysol wipes on me at all times by that point.
I saved the day. Jesus saved your life. Boom. Posted.
