I am at this crossroad in my life where sometimes I feel I am slacking. At first it was rather depressing because my friends all have real jobs and I felt like my school work was a joke along with the few hours I put in at the golf course just to fill up time. Since this semester has been so much more difficult and time consuming I feel as though I am actually contributing to something (all though I am not exactly sure what yet). When my parents came to visit we had a talk and discussed how school is my main focus and they don't expect me to have any other full time responsibilities. Now that that is in all put into a better perspective, I am just trying my hardest to succeed in grad school and truly come up with a plan post-graduation (get it?).
With that being said, I would like to make a list of things that have been cheering me out of my pity party and truly showing me that I have support form my friends and loved ones.
First of all, I was rushing to get to work this morning at 9 o'clock when I reach to grab my tank top and I find this on top:
Blake left me a post-it note before he left... :) Made my whole morning brighter.
Secondly, I have been craving chocolate cake for almost three months now. I don't know if I have ever been such a chocoholic in my life, but something has got me cravin' it constantly. Especially after yoga... you know... to forget about brass concert I just attended. Anyway, my wonderful roommate has been searching for one and found a few a Costco but we weren't sure if I would actually like it and they were a little expensive so we passed. Well on the way home (I had met her there so we drove separately) she stopped into Safeway to see if she could find one... and she DID! She got me a whole chocolate cake just because she knew I wanted one... she is the best roommate ever. Dana never bought me a chocolate cake... well her mom did send us puppy chow, but that's besides the point (sorry Dana :).
Thirdly, yes thirdly. I got to see so many friend's from college over the weekend and it felt so good to see them because I love keeping up with their lives over facebook and what not, but even more importantly, they were even commenting on how they like to read my blog! It felt really good to have them say that, thanks friends!
Fourthly, everyone.... EVERYONE, loved Blake this weekend ( and who wouldn't??) and that made me very happy as well. Lyndsie even texted me today "I miss Blake" and "The summer won't be the same without him here"... how great is that? I told know she knows how I feel! But I am truly blessed to have such a wonderful man like him to love me :)
There are so many more but I don't want to keep rambling and I will cut it short tonight. Bottom line is I am more than grateful for my wonderful family and loyal friends and amazing boyfriend. Love you all.
Boom. Posted.
